Animal Equality launched a global campaign urging organisers of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to permanently remove foie gras from its menu.
🌱 The Olympic Committee has already pledged to serve 60% of its dishes plant-based this year, a great step forward for animals! BUT foie gras is a divisive and incredibly controversial product - it cannot be allowed on the menu.
Foie gras is produced through the practice of force-feeding - this harmful practice is already banned in several countries because of the harm it causes to animals.

These Olympic Games are a beacon
of international friendship

But there is one particular item
that's featured on the menu this year,
that is so cruel, that is so controversial,
that it is actually a crime
to produce in Denmark, Germany, Norway
and other countries.
The item that is totally misaligned
with the ethos of the Games
is foie gras.
Animal Equality has been
investigating foie gras farms
in France and Spain since 2012.
Every year, millions of ducks
and geese are force fed
till their liver grows ten times
its natural size.
