Like you and many other people, I grew up
with the idea that in
dairy production cows are free and happy,
that milk is a spontaneous product
that does not cause animal suffering. Today
I know that this is not the case. The
dairy industry is cruel.
I am Denis Gutiérrez and today, together with

deeply moved me. Here,
cows and their calves
systematically suffer cruel practices.
Did you know that for a cow to produce
milk it must be pregnant and give birth? For
this reason, she will be artificially inseminated
again and again until her body can no longer
endure it.
Throughout this cycle she will be milked
incessantly, eventually suffering from
infections and mastitis.
Separated from their calves as soon as they are born,
the cows will search for them and call out
mooing for days and even weeks.
The fate of the offspring will depend on whether
they are female or male. They will replace
their mothers on the
production lines. Since the males do not produce
milk, they will go straight to the slaughterhouse. The
dairy industry is not what we've been
told.
