Transcript (English — en-x-autogen)

We investigated three farms owned by Ceer,
one of the UK's largest chicken producers,
where birds live in crowded,
unnatural conditions and go from this to this.
In just five weeks,
only seven days old chicks here are already struggling to survive.
Some don't make it. Just a couple of weeks later,
their unnatural accelerated growth rate is taking its toll.
Day by day,
their joints and hearts strain to keep up with their artificially
inflated bodies.
They struggle to walk and breathe.
Many can't even stand up.
Some are killed by workers who ruthlessly break birds' necks,
then leave them to convulse amongst their flock mates.
Others die slowly from starvation or dehydration.
Their bodies are left to rot amongst the living.
The harsh, unnatural conditions lead to cannibalism.
Callous abuse by the workers adds to their pain
as catchers, crepe the birds for slaughter.
Those who won't survive the journey are dumped in a heap.
Some were left struggling here for hours
before a worker finally put them out of their misery.
You have the power to end this suffering.
Please leave chickens off your plate.
