Animal Equality exposes the practice of “Judas Sheep” in factory farming

· 3 minutes · Vimeo

Animal Equality has released footage exposing the use of "Judas sheep" in factory farming.

These trained sheep are used to gain the trust of lambs and lead them to slaughter.

Judas sheep are spared, only to guide more lambs to their deaths in a continuous cycle of abuse.

This Jeep's
life has
been saved
only to help
kill more
animals.
She was
specifically
trained
to lead
lambs to
slaughter.
The lambs
arrive
at the
slaughter
house.
They gather
around her.
You want to
be close to her?
They follow
her. Driven
by fear
and the need
to find
something
familiar in
an unknown
place.
She is their
guide, the only
source of
trust in
their
confusion.
She offers
the lambs
comfort
and a sense
of safety
to the industry.
She is nothing more
than a tool,
a vehicle
leading to
death.
The sheep
has been
trained
step by step
to lead
the lambs
to the
slaughter
area.
There
she will repeatedly hear
and smell
the killing
of the
other lambs.
This system
is so cruel
that the
industry
created
a narrative
claiming
the sheep
betrays
the lambs.
But like
the lambs
who follow her,
she is also
exploited
and treated
as nothing
more than an
object
by this
cruel
industry.
This sheep,
who would
naturally
live her
life surrounded by
her family,
is instead
condemned to
loneliness.
Her only
connection
to others of
her kind
is through
a cruel
cycle
leading
the lambs,
hearing
them die
and continuing on.
That's
what she
was trained
to do
when the
industry considers
her too old
and useless.
She will
enter the
slaughter
house
for the last
time.
She too will
be killed.
The industry
is the cause
of her
loneliness,
suffering
and the
cruelty she endorse.
The meat
industry
causes great
suffering
to animals.
Yet many
people don't
realize
the daily
cruelty
farmed
animals
endure.
But we have
the power to
change this.
Every kind of
choice we make
with our
food helps protect
animals
and move us
toward
a more
compassionate world.
While
the industry
tries
to hide its
operations
behind the
closed
doors
of slaughterhouses,
Animal
Equality
is working
tirelessly
to expose
these abuses
and hold
those
responsible
accountable.
