If you’re in the Oregon area, you will no longer have to worry about shopping in conventional supermarkets. Veganz, the world’s first all-vegan supermarket chain, will be making its U.S. debut in Portland, Oregon in 2016, and it will also include a restaurant and clothing store.

Photo: Instagram/veganz Founder, Jan Bredack, wanted to make shopping for plant-based foods accessible to everyone. In 2011, he opened the first location in Berlin (Germany) and has since expanded to Hamburg, Munich, and Frankfurt. This year, the company will add branches outside of Germany with a location in Vienna and Portland, Oregon – one of the top vegan-friendly cities in the U.S. According to The Local, Bredack wants to make a vegan lifestyle possible for everyone. He added, “I do it because it comes from the heart. Money is not the motivation, but the chance to do something good in life.” He is inspired to educate the world on the wonderful benefits of plant-based foods; they can be healthy, affordable, and – most importantly, delicious!
