If you work often with Woody Harrelson, as Liam Hemsworth did in The Hunger Games saga, it’s no wonder that you start to see things differently. Woody Harrelson, vegan for decades, has been the main influence of Liam’s decision. “I have a lot of friends who are vegan. [Hunger Games co-star] Woody Harrelson was actually one of the original reasons I became vegan because he’s been vegan for, I don’t know, 30 years or something.” he declared in an interview. Also, someone who adopts a beloved dog from a shelter is a person who loves animals. “Tani is awesome; I adopted her about a year ago. She’s perfect. I’m a big advocate of adoption.” said Hemsworth during the interview. The next step to veganism was just a matter of time. Liam has it clear: “After all the information I gathered about the mistreatment of animals, and also for my own health, I decided to do things differently. I feel very positive, mentally and physically. I love it. I feel that it has caused a domino effect in the rest of my life,” he added. It seems that replacing meat, dairy and eggs in his diet has been great for the actor. For an animal lover who cares about the planet, veganism has positive consequences. “I think I’m a good influence to many people in my life. I try to stay healthy and fit and try to help the planet as much as possible.” And that influence begins with his (also) very famous brother, Chris Hemsworth, aka “Thor”. Chris stars in the Marvel series The Avengers as the “god of thunder”, and he’s a well-known meat lover. “Chris tries to be very healthy and very fit, but he has many digestive problems. He spends a lot of time trying to figure out what’s best for his diet. And after talking about it, I think he is getting used to eating more vegetables and meat alternatives.” Will we be able to see a vegan Thor soon? Why not? Chris Hemsworth is only a few steps away from Woody Harrelson! 😉
