25 year old Jason Brown was arrested last year at a Motel in Nevada in which several dismembered dog bodies were found. Also, four dog heads were found in a refrigerator. Prosecutors reported that Brown had killed at least 11 dogs. But now, Brown has been sentenced to 28 years in prison, which is the maximum penalty provided by law for such cases. He will not be able to ask for parole for eleven years.

The defendant obtained the dogs through a famous sale and exchange website in which some dogs were purchased and other were given away. During the trial, some of the people who gave the dogs to Brown testified. They said they did it because he seemed like a “formal” man. Brown promised them that the animals would live in a good home forever.

He even videotaped the horrible tortures. Among terrible animal screams of pain and agony you could hear him say, “I will make a coat with their skin”. In some other videos, he appears with friends, who recorded the gruesome mutilations. “My favorites are the little Chihuahuas, if I am able to get one of those, I will bring them to Jason’s house of pain”, he said laughing in one of the videos.

The judge, during his ruling told Brown, “the sadism and cruelty that you’ve shown is simply shocking,” adding “what terrifies me the most is the fact that you recorded them, that means that you did it in order to see yourself torturing these animals again and again, as if they were a trophy.”

Brown’s lawyer, John Oakes said, “During my 40 years of career I’ve seen people that have been killed in all possible ways, but for me, this case is something unprecedented.”
