Protest McDonald’s Cruelty in Hollywood (postponed)
*THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED FOR THE TIME BEING*
Join us in Hollywood as we protest McDonald’s and the cruel treatment of chickens in its supply chain!
Chickens raised and killed for McDonald’s menu items suffer tremendously. These smart and social animals are bred to grow so unnaturally big their own legs can’t support their weight. Their lives are just as bad, if not worse – crammed into dark sheds and trapped in filth, unable to engage in most natural behaviors. These horrific conditions are unacceptable.
If you haven’t attended an Animal Equality protest before, this is a great event to start with! The protest includes demonstrations outside of a busy McDonald’s restaurant location in a popular tourist area right on Hollywood Blvd.
Details:
Tuesday, March 17 from 12pm-1pm at the McDonald’s at 6776 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028
Parking is limited in this area, so it may be wise to carpool or take public transportation. There is no parking lot designated for this specific location, but there are nearby lots.
You will be asked to hold a sign and stand with the group as we form the protest line in front of McDonald’s while we show consumers how chickens are treated on factory farms.
Signs will be provided – please do not bring your own. This will be a silent, non-violent demonstration. We ask that you do not interact with the public unless you have been assigned to do so.
We will meet in front of the McDonald’s restaurant located at 6776 Hollywood Blvd. Numbers are everything, so please bring your friends! Also, please dress presentably (think business casual). You do not need to bring anything. This is a busy area so we advise against bringing any companion animals as it may be too stressful for them (and you). If you have any questions you can contact Dane Charbeneau at [email protected].
Please also reach out directly to Dane if you have media contacts who would be interested in covering this grassroots activism event.
If you’re unable to attend this event but would like to get involved with our campaigns, sign up to become an Animal Protector to take easy, online actions from the comfort of your own home: AnimalProtectors.us
For too long McDonald’s has valued profits over basic animal protections. Rather than commit to meaningful animal welfare standards, like over 180 of its competitors have, McDonald’s continues to drag its feet. It’s time for them to change.

We cannot wait to see you there and to work alongside you to help animals!
