Protest McDonald’s Mighty Cruel Chicken Sandwich

Join us in Augusta as we protest McDonald’s and the cruel treatment of chickens in its supply chain while they hand out samples of their new “Mighty Chicken” sandwich.

Chickens raised and killed for McDonald’s menu items like the “Mighty Chicken” suffer tremendously. These smart and social animals are bred to grow so unnaturally big their own legs can’t support their weight. Their lives are just as bad, if not worse – crammed into dark sheds and trapped in filth, unable to engage in most natural behaviors. These horrific conditions are unacceptable.

If you haven’t attended an Animal Equality protest before, this is a great event to start with! The protest includes demonstrations outside of two McDonald’s restaurant locations, each for one hour. You’re welcome to join us for one or both of the events.

PROTEST #1:
From 10:45 am – 11:45 am: McDonald’s at 2902 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30909

PROTEST #2:
From 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm : McDonald’s at 3646 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30909

RSVP ON FACEBOOK!

You will be asked to hold a sign and stand with the group as we form the protest line in front of McDonald’s while we show consumers how chickens are treated on factory farms.

We will meet in front of the McDonald’s restaurant located at 2902 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30909. Numbers are everything, so please bring your friends! Also, please dress presentably (think business casual). You do not need to bring anything. If you have any questions you can contact Maral Cavner at [email protected] or call her at 424-305-0113. If you need a ride from Atlanta to Augusta, please reach out to Maral who can arrange one for you.

Please reach out directly to Maral with any questions or if you have media contacts who would be interested in covering this grassroots activism event.

For too long McDonald’s has valued profits over basic animal protections. Rather than commit to meaningful animal welfare standards, like over 100 of its competitors have, McDonald’s continues to drag its feet. It’s time for them to change.

For more information about the campaign, please visit mcchickencruelty.com

We cannot wait to see you there and to work alongside you to help animals.
