Animal Equality released our third investigation into the mink industry in Spain. This time, revealing that workers roughly threw terrified minks into gas chambers and gassed them to death, which was a terrifying experience for the animals.

Animal Equality’s first investigation into the Spanish mink industry revealed a rarely seen look inside mink fur farms. Investigators witnessed hundreds of minks caged in solitary confinement. Many of the animals endlessly paced and circled in their cages, a sign of severe psychological distress.

Animal Equality investigators documented the public killing of calves in El Escorial, a town in Madrid, during a local bullfighting event. Video footage shows the animals screaming, bleeding, and being tortured by participants of the festival, who used spears to maim the animals until they collapsed.
