Sadistic Abuse Exposed on UK’s Largest Pig Farm
After an anonymous tip-off, Animal Equality investigators visited Fir Tree Farm, which is owned by one of Britain’s largest pig producers. We found that several workers repeatedly abused animals, including kicking pigs in the face and head, jabbing pigs with a fork and spraying paint directly up a pig’s nose.
Chicken Production Documented in Mexico

100% Italian Chicken: The Animal Equality investigation team once again revealed the cruelty behind chicken breeding in Italy. This investigation focused on showing the violence and mistreatment that chickens are forced to suffer from birth to slaughter.
Cruel Conditions Found on Spanish Pig Farm
In collaboration with the Spanish TV program Salvados, Animal Equality investigated Hermanos Carrasco, a pig farm located in Spain’s Murcia region and supplier of the international meat company El Pozo which supplies major United Kingdom retailers. We discovered animals in shockingly cruel conditions, in violation of the law, suffering for days and weeks on end. Our investigation resulted in a petition asking UK retailers to stop selling meat from the supplier.
Footage Reveals Chilling Reality of Chicken Farms in Italy
Animal Equality Italy published "100% Italian Chicken", an investigation that unveiled chilling behind-the-scenes slaughterhouse and factory farm footage of the country's chicken meat industry. The footage exposed a very different reality from what the Italian meat industry markets towards consumers.
Chicken Factory Farms in India
Animal Equality's investigation into chicken farms in India exposed practices that still were going on despite violating the most basic animal welfare and food safety standards. Birds were transported for days without access to food or water, suffered for minutes during slaughter before dying, and their bodies were de-feathered in filthy conditions.
Mink Farms
Animal Equality’s first investigation into the Spanish mink industry revealed a rarely seen look inside mink fur farms. Investigators witnessed hundreds of minks caged in solitary confinement. Many of the animals endlessly paced and circled in their cages, a sign of severe psychological distress.
Suffering Birds Unable to Walk at Major Chicken Supplier
Disturbing scenes were captured on a chicken farm that supplies Faccenda, the United Kingdom's second largest chicken company. Many of the 150,000 birds housed in barren sheds were in too much pain to walk. We also witnessed hundreds of dead chicks being dumped in bins every day for several days.
iAnimal – The Dairy Industry in 360 Degrees
We brought our 360 degree cameras into another factory farm, this time to show what happens to cows raised for dairy. Our investigators obtained footage of what everyday life is like for these animals from birth to the day they're slaughtered once their milk production declines.
Two Chicken Farms of Largest German Chicken Meat Producers Denounced
Animal Equality investigated two chicken farms in Lower Saxony, Germany. These farms breed chickens for their meat for Germany’s two market-leading chicken meat producers, Wiesenhof and Rothkötter. Our investigators witnessed the cruel and illegal treatment of chickens on ten separate occasions and denounce it to the authorities to file charges against the workers.
