Amanda Sorey has spent her career in the food industry.
While a president at Unilever, the company was linked to forced labor and
deforestation. Now, Amanda sits on the board of Kroger, one of America's
largest retailers. There, she makes over $300,000 a year.
Amanda knows many eggs at Kroger come from birds trapped in cages so
small that their lives are miserable.
Birds live standing on wire cages, never seeing sunlight, and many
die in agony. Kroger promised to end this cruelty, but Kroger broke that
promise. Every day Amanda Sorey sits on Kroger's board, birds
