Dear JFK Library Foundation,

I’m writing to ask the Foundation to remove Kroger directors Ron Sargent and Kevin Brown from its Board of Advisors.

Today, an open letter was published in The Boston Globe calling on Caroline Kennedy and the JFK Library Foundation to take action. The letter raises serious concerns about Kroger’s failure to uphold its commitment to improve conditions for animals and asks why individuals connected to that record should continue representing an institution dedicated to the legacy of President John F. Kennedy.

The JFK Library and Foundation should reflect the values of leadership, responsibility, and compassion associated with JFK’s legacy. Keeping Kroger directors Ron Sargent and Kevin Brown in positions of leadership at the Foundation sends the wrong message.

I urge you to listen to the concerns raised in the Boston Globe open letter and remove Ron Sargent and Kevin Brown from the Foundation’s Board of Advisors.

Please take action and protect the integrity of JFK’s legacy.
