Dear Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra,

I’m writing to ask you to reconsider your partnership with Kroger for Symphony on the Prairie.

As a respected cultural institution, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has an opportunity to use its platform to promote positive values and stand up for animals. I’m concerned that partnering with Kroger instead gives the company an opportunity to receive positive publicity while it continues to face criticism over its treatment of animals.

I urge the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to speak out against animal cruelty, encourage Kroger to adopt a meaningful and transparent cage-free policy, and consider animal welfare more carefully when selecting sponsors and partners in the future.

I hope the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will use its influence to encourage Kroger to do better for animals rather than simply providing the company with a prominent platform.
