Crockway Pig Farm

We found sows locked in tiny individual stalls — a practice banned in the UK in 1999 — on this Dorset farm, owned by an award-winning company which supplies some of Britain’s largest supermarkets. Despite the company being named Pig Farmer of the Year 2015, on our visit just a year later we also documented pigs with major wounds, several dying piglets and a dead pig being cannibalised by pen mates.
