Animal Saving Campaigns With Support From VegFund

Animal Equality’s life-changing work for farmed animals would not be possible without our generous donors and partners.

Your support allows us to fund our investigations, legal actions, and corporate outreach programs, and increases our impact by expanding the reach and awareness of our global public campaigns.

VegFund logoWe’d like to acknowledge some of our recent initiatives that were made possible by a grant from VegFund. VegFund empowers vegan advocates worldwide through grant funding and supporting effective outreach that inspires people to choose and maintain a vegan lifestyle.

Discover Your Food Campaign

Animal Equality UK’s Discover Your Food campaign promoted a “Love Veg” pledge through Facebook ads. Users were asked to question why they love some animals while they eat others as they learned about some of the suffering endured by different farmed animals. They were encouraged to reduce or eliminate animal products from their diets. To help support their transition, they were given a free digital cookbook of plant-based recipes. Since its launch in April 2018, more than 40,000 people have signed the pledge as a result of VegFund’s support.

CCTV Petition

Since the beginning of 2018, Animal Equality Italy has released several undercover investigations showing what happens inside Italian slaughterhouses and has fought for legal reform to reduce animal cruelty. A Closed Circuit television (CCTV) petition asked the Italian parliament to install surveillance videos in slaughterhouses to help monitor and enforce compliance with stunning laws to ensure animals are not conscious when killed. Through a Facebook ad campaign supported by VegFund, more than 200,000 signatures were collected. The legislation moved forward with discussions in Italian and EU Parliament.
